Life is made up of challenges, transitions, gains, losses, and a myriad of emotions. Sometimes, difficult life experiences can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about where to go next. You may notice that what you’re going through is impacting other areas of your life as well. My role is to support you through these challenges so you don’t have to navigate them alone or feel like you need to have all the answers.
My counseling approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and collaborative. My style is direct while remaining warm and genuine. I believe healing is not a linear process, and that it is important to set flexible and realistic goals for yourself along the way. I will not set expectations for you; instead, I will meet you where you are and support you at your own pace. Above all, I believe it is important to practice patience and kindness toward yourself as you work toward change. I strive to create a counseling environment where you feel safe, welcomed, and accepted for all the different parts that make you who you are. In our work together, there is no right or wrong answer, and your thoughts, feelings, and perspectives are valued.
As a lifelong Eastside resident in the PNW, I am familiar with some of the unique pressures that students and young adults face as they build their identities, navigate relationships, and explore their educational and career paths. I believe therapy is a partnership, where your experiences, values, and strengths guide our work together. This may look like celebrating and honoring successes throughout the therapeutic journey, validating feelings that can be difficult to sit with, or developing practical skills to navigate emotional dysregulation and life’s challenges. I believe you have the power to create meaningful change in your life, and my role is to walk alongside you as a guide and support.
Therapy can be a journey that requires commitment, vulnerability, and a willingness to sit with discomfort. If you are ready to explore new sides of yourself, challenge long-standing beliefs, and work toward meaningful change, I may be a good fit for you. If this resonates with you, it would be my pleasure to embark on this journey with you.
