This group is for teens that are struggling to connect and looking for ways to build their sense of self identity and confidence. Teen art groups are a great way for teens to learn and build skills in self confidence, anxiety, and de-stressing. They will be guided through various individual and group art therapy activities including painting, clay sculpture, and resin jewelry making.

All groups will be led by Crystal Chen, a board certified art therapist and licensed mental health counselor. Crystal boasts over 6 years of experience working with teens and is specialized in using evidence based theories combined with the arts in order to support teens in exploring their past trauma and building skills towards combating anxiety and depression.

This is a closed group and participants are expected to attend every session for continuity and consistency of care.

Psychotherapy or “talk therapy” can help people with anxiety disorders. To be effective, psychotherapy must be directed at the person’s specific anxieties and tailored to his or her needs.
