Philosophy of Care

Collaboration is the key to any successful relationship. That mutual respect and responsibility is foundational in addressing the mental collateral damage that stress and trauma can create in our lives.

Because our therapeutic journey is a collaboration, I think of the client as the driver on a road trip, and I am their wingman, holding the map in the passenger’s seat. As the driver of the car, they are in complete control of where our journey will ultimately end and my role is to encourage their ability to grip the steering wheel, as well as guide them using the best routes along the way.

My holistic approach is intended to empower the individual, so that they are an active participant in the healing process and emphasizing they are the expert in their own lives.

Treatment For Anxiety

Psychotherapy or “talk therapy” can help people with anxiety disorders. To be effective, psychotherapy must be directed at the person’s specific anxieties and tailored to his or her needs.
