It is my goal as a counselor to create a safe space for self-reflection, exploration and compassion. It is my belief that through therapeutic collaboration, anyone is able to heal and grow. I approach counseling through a holistic and trauma-informed lens. Being a social worker means considering every aspect of an individual’s life and how those factors contribute to their mental health. It is my goal to help individuals and families navigate difficult mental health challenges while ensuring other resources are in place to help my clients succeed. I honor that my clients are the experts of their own lives, and it is my job to help guide them and give them the skills they need in order to become the best version of themselves.
Have you or your child been struggling with feelings of helplessness, fatigue or stress? Do life changes feel more stressful than they used to? In my practice, I utilize mindfulness-based techniques in order to help my clients gain awareness into their symptoms and develop coping skills. Being present in the here and now is critical in order to make the most of every day. My therapeutic process is designed to help individuals feel more comfortable in their own skin, more capable of handling stress and to feel more connected with those they love.
